Project of the Fall - Trade Show Displays

Vehicle Wraps of all kinds seem to be taking center stage today but it is important to remember where it all started, creating signs and displays for the retail and tradeshow industry. Fall is trade show season for all major markets from food distribution to medical products.  The trade show industry is still a multi-billion dollar industry in North America and with the development of digital imaging it has moved to a whole new level.

Communication Exhibits based in Canal Fulton, Ohio developed this trade show booth for the Label Expo trade show in Chicago. The majority of the graphics were printed on Mimaki JV3 printer with OEM inks using MACtac® IMAGin® print media and then laminated with PERMACOLR® laminates. The banner graphics were printed using dye-sublimation printing and there is some cut vinyl uses as well.

Designing and installing trade show graphics is no different than designing and installing wraps. It is important to use a template and to make sure you have a colorful crisp design.  Everything has to work together and be laid out in advance to allow for a fast install.  Most trade show booths are constructed in 72 hours and with a booth this size 54' x 64' you can't risk anything slowing you down.

The theme for this booth was "Seriously Cool Technology" so CEI wanted to make sure that all aspects of the booth tied into that tag line.  The most unique aspect of the booth was an interactive floor graphic called "Eye Step" which allowed visitors to scatter leaves, walk on water, and play soccer.  The booth also displayed table wraps, a freezer wrap, a wall graphic, and multiple shear banners.
